This is an interesting study conducted at
Aviation Personnel Development Institute, Kasem Bundit University, in Thailand.
It concerned on students’ needs assessment of English teaching and learning to
maximize the learning result. Quantitative data was collected through survey
questionnaire to find out aviation students’ opinions about language
descriptions set by ICAO namely: pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, fluency,
comprehension, and interaction. The study revealed the need for a Blended
Learning Program. The focus groups and interviews resulted in the need for
higher English proficiency. Meanwhile, the ranked preferred topics were airline
and air crew, airport, aircraft, air traffic control and aviation authority
respectively. A set of online tools is the alternative the students would like
to have in their language learning.

Dear, Anisa.
BalasHapusAbove is very interesting topic, especially for those who has interest in ESP. Firstly I read your title, I wondered about how blended learning contributes on ESP. However, when I started to read your review, I did not find enough explanation about that. Better for you to give more information about that based on your reading from the article.

Hello, Zahrotun!
BalasHapusThanks for giving such consideration! Unfortunately, the article did not provide further explanation about how blended-learning was applied in the classroom: it said 'the basis of designing blended-learning' meant that it was just the beginning. However, as far as I knew, blended learning was the learning technique seemed to be preferred by the students based on the data. Perhaps, they addressed on the mixture between face-to-face teaching and learning also online activities, and might be some field-study, too.
All the best,
Anisa <3
